About the Examination

The RRB Recruitment details are published by the Railway Recruitment Board on the RRB official website. The Railway Recruitment Board was known as ‘Railway Service Commission’ but in January 1985 it was renamed.

The various details included in the RRB Recruitment notice are related to RRB posts, vacancies, and salaries.

The Railway entrance examinations are held for the selection of technical and non–technical cadres in the Indian Railways. Details regarding all the examinations conducted by the Railway Board are given in RRB official Website (http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/).

Also, aspirants for Railways exam must visit the National Recruitment Agency page. NRA shall soon be responsible for conducting a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for posts under SSC, RRB and IBPS. This common test will help in appointing candidates at Non-Technical and Non-Gazetted positions in the three Organisations.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Exam to fill various auxiliary posts in the Indian Railways. The recruitment is done for the following posts:

RRB ALP

RRB ALP Exam  

The RRB conducts the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) exam to recruit candidates into the Indian Railways. The RRB ALP 2023 exam is yet to be conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.

RRB ALP Eligibility

The RRB ALP post requires a candidate to have certain qualifications.

The RRB ALP eligibility is the major aspect that the candidates should be careful while filling the online application form.

The qualification requirements for the RRB ALP are as follows:

Nationality

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • In case of migration to India from certain countries like Zambia, Taiwan, etc, candidates must have relevant migration document confirming the Indian Citizenship approved by the Government of India.

Age Limit

The age limit for the RRB ALP eligibility is as follows:

    • Minimum Age- 18 years
    • Maximum Age- 30 years

Educational requirement

The basic educational requirement for the RRB ALP post is given below:

    • Candidates should have passed matriculation and completed course Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute approved by NCVT or SCVT in the respective trade.
    • Those who have a diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile Engineering recognized by the AICTE are also eligible for the exam.
